It seems that the Railways Minister has developed special fascination for giving tourism angle to Kashmir Railways. He has been very euphoric in finding Kashmir the most beautiful place in the world which the Railways should sell to the tourists and naturalists. Laying the foundation stone of five new halt stations of Baramulla-Qazigund railway at Sangdan, Monghall, Ratnipora, Naidgam and Razwan, he said that he wanted that railways should lay very conspicuous role in the development of the State.
The Railways Minister has made two interesting announcement which will certainly be appreciated by the travelers and tourists. He announced introduction of Vistadome train in Kashmir that will provide famous Kashmiri cuisine called Wazwan for the entertainment of the passengers. Wazwan as we know is a famous delicacy of Kashmir and it is not found elsewhere in the country. The second announcement he made was that of introducing glass top rail bogies in Kashmir so that Kashmir tourist are able to enjoy the great and unparalleled scenic beauty of the Valley. He said it was unthinkable that a tourist visiting Kashmir cannot envision the charming beauty of nature through which he passes. We think these incentives will surely enhance tourist footfalls in the Valley.
