JAMMU, Oct 10: A case for total hip replacement was today operated in Swami Vivekananda Charitable (SVC) Hospital. The case was operated in the upgraded modern orthopaedic operation theatre in the hospital premises.
In a press handout issued, the hospital authorities informed, a patient named at Anita Devi from RS Pura was suffering from pain in the hip region for last two years following some injury and was diagnosed as a case of bilateral Avascular Necrosis of femoral heads.
Her hip replacement was done by senior Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Madan Gandotra free of cost under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
Dr Gandotra was assisted by a dedicated team of specialist doctors.
