JAMMU, Oct 10: Senior BJP leader and JMC Councillor, Raj Kumar Tarkhan of Ward number 51 (Channi Himmat area) here today started the work of laying water supply pipes at Mohalla Charak (Paroli) in his Ward.
The work will be completed at an estimated expenditure of Rs 6.50 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion Tarkhan said that he is fully committed to develop the Ward to redress the grievances of the people.
He assured that public grievances regarding power, water, lane-drain, road up-gradation etc will be resolved soon.
The BJP leader asked the people to cooperate with the Urban Local Body in making the Ward a model one.
“Stop throwing garbage here and there and use the services of door-to-door moving autos for garbage collection,” he maintained adding that remaining works in the Ward shall also be completed soon.
AEE Jal Shakti (PHE), Sudhir Singh; Jagdish Raj Proch, Ward president; Jeewan Singh Charak, Raghubir Singh Charak, Surinder Singh Charak, Mohan Singh Charak, Noor Mohd and others were also present on the occasion.
