JAMMU, Feb 23 : As per a communication issued by the Finance Department, all the Treasury Officers across the State have been directed not to entertain any Government cheque for the financial year 2015-16 under any circumstances or explanation after 5th of April, 2016 payable to contractors, suppliers and firms etc.
They have been further advised to direct all the concerned Cheque Drawing DDOs for strict adherence to the instructions and any deviation to this effect shall entail strict disciplinary action.
