Tony seeks regularization of unauthorized colonies

SUCHETGARH, Apr 2: DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony today demanded regularization of all the unauthorized colonies in and around Jammu city.
In a hard hitting statement issued here today, the young leader said that despite the High Court’s order, the JDA and other Government departments were dilly-dallying action against the former Deputy Chief Minister’s house and the illegal encroachments in Greater Kailash area of Jammu city but swift action was being shown in the case of poor Gujjar community.
“People are closely watching this kind of discrimination by the Government which boasts Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas but on ground is ensuring Khud Ka Vikas Aur Baakiyon Ka Satyanaas,” he alleged.
Tony also strongly batted for grant of OBC status to Jats in J&K and also for the Pahari Speaking People. He said that by giving such a privilege to these communities, the Government would not do any extra favour because these people deserve the same on merits and this is their right. Besides, Tony also took up the issue of regularization of daily wagers, who are on the verge of starvation due to the bogus assurances given by the BJP leadership both at the local level and at the central one.
The DDC Member Suchetgarh said that the daily wagers are the victims of BJP’s political bluffs as the party leadership is giving assurances day in and day out but never doing anything on ground to provide the much needed succor. He said that the BJP Government relies only on lies and that is the reason that people of all hues and shades are today suffering in the UT of J&K. He said that time was ripe that people should read the writing on the wall and give a befitting reply to BJP by uprooting it from the UT in the upcoming elections to get a sigh of relief as no other dispensation can be as harmful as the incumbent one.
