Tony lambasts Govt for making high pitched claims, doing nothing on ground

JAMMU, July 19: Senior AAP leader and DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony has lambasted the BJP Government at the Centre and the UT Administration in J&K for making high pitched claims of development and practically doing nothing on ground.
The AAP leader expressed this during his extensive tour of Gaddigarh, Chatta, Bhour and village Jallo Chak to take stock of people’s problems, here today. He was accompanied by Balvinder Singh Happy, Mandeep Choudhary, Mohit Raina, Balkrishan, Ravinder Singh Mantu and Ashok Bhagat besides a team of PWD officials.
Tony took the PWD officials to the site of Gaddigarh bridge and brought to their notice the damage caused to it due to which it has become quite risky and dangerous to cross this bridge for the people. He asked them to initiate measures to set right the damaged portions before any major casualty takes place due to this bridge.
Meanwhile, while interacting with the people in Gaddigarh, Chatta, Bhour and Jallo Chak, the people narrated to Tony the tale of their woes on various counts especially dilapidated roads, nallahs, drinking water and power supply. After giving them a patient hearing, the AAP leader assured to take up their issues with the concerned authorities and get these addressed at the earliest.
Addressing media persons after concluding his tour, Tony asserted that Landoi Nallh is another glaring example of neglect by the administration. The AAP leader said that the representative of the area has not bothered to get the project of Landoi Nallah prepared by the UEED Department for two years despite regular representations in this regard.
Tony said that the bridge connecting Miran Sahib and SKUAST-J is technically defective which is causing flood like situation for the local residents and a fresh bridge is required for which the plan has already been submitted by the PWD Department but it is yet to see the day of the light.
