JAMMU, June 16: Taranjeet Singh Tony, District president, National Conference, Jammu Rural “B”, has appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, to announce special package for farmers of Suchetgarh Constituency, where 80 % of the population is farming community.
The demand was raised by him while chairing a workers’ meeting at Village Nawabad and Beaspur Parlah here last evening. Tony further demanded that the long pending demand of refugees’ package be sent to Central Government for further pursuing it with the Government at Centre so that this very long pending demand is fulfilled.
Tony said that successive Governments led by his party have flagged public interest at top of everything all along and will do so in future as well. He said faster development, quicker implementation of various welfare schemes and sustaining peace has been priority of the Government, which is discernible in every sphere of activity.
