JAMMU, Mar 26: A deputation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Association (TNWA) led by its president, Rajinder P. Kakkar met K.K Sharma, Advisor to Governor and submitted him a memorandum containing demands of Trikuta Nagar residents.
The deputation said that a notification was issued by JDA about the amount to be paid by Trikuta Nagar residents for their plots but the information in the notification was not complete.
Deputation members demanded single window system to avoid inconvenience by the resident, as almost all the residents are senior citizen mostly retired pensioners. The deputation further stated that rates per marla should be at par with those already fixed for other colonies and suggested that extra land which is already occupied by the allottees should also be regularised as per the rates charged at the time of allotment.
A handout stated that the Advisor directed his Secretary to issue a revised notification within a month in this regard.
