JAMMU, Aug 17: Trikuta Nagar Development Council (TNDC) and members of Senior Citizen’s Rejuvenation Centre (SCRC) celebrated foundation day of TNDC.
Mubarak Singh, Vice-chairman, JDA and Soujanya Sharma, Commissioner, JMC, were the chief guests while RN Meena (senior DTM/Jammu Northern Railway), Dr Raj Bharat Bhagat, Director, Akash Institute, Jammu, Mahajan Gourav Awardee, Ashok Kumar Gupta and SC Verma, Ex- Corporator, were the guests of honour.
The function started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guests.
Bal Krishan Gupta, president, SCRC and TNDC, in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of the Council and general problems faced by the residents of the locality regarding conversion of lease hold right, ownership right on the pattern of Channi Himmat Colony. He also highlighted sanitation problem of the area.
While addressing the gathering, Mubarak Singh assured the Council to extend his full cooperation for the welfare of Trikuta Nagar. He also assured that he will do his best regarding conversion of lease hold plots to ownership right to plot holders on the pattern of Channi Himmat Colony.
Soujanya Sharma, Commissioner JMC, also assured to solve sanitation problems of the area. He immediately passed directions to concerned officers to repair the non-functional electric lamps and remove garbage from the streets.
Earlier, the chief guests and guests of honour were honoured by presenting them mementoes and bouquets. SC Verma was felicitated by presenting gold medal for his outstanding contribution to the society.
RN Meena, SC Verma, Dr Raj Bharat Bhagat and Ashok Kumar Gupta also shared their views.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by SK Jain. The function concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Ashok Kalsotra.
