TNA delegation meets VC JDA, discusses issues faced by business establishments

JAMMU, Sept 3: A delegation led by Rahul Sahai, Chairman of Transport Nagar Association (TNA) interacted with Pankaj Magotra (VC JDA) and higher officials of JDA at Vikas Bhawan (Jammu) regarding problems faced by business establishments of Transport Nagar.
Issues discussed by the Association were blacktopping of roads, lighting (High Mass lights), repair of dividers, maintenance of roads and plantation, encroachment, conversion of lease hold to free hold rights, lease deed issues, building bye laws at par with JMC, double fee issue, JDA departmental processing issues, parking concerns at Transport Nagar and time bound transfer of property, sanitation & active drainage, lifting old garbage, construction of new nallahs, etc.
Sahai stressed on quality of work and urged the VC JDA that UEED works should be done simultaneously. Pankaj Magotra while interacting with Rahul Sahai and other members of the Association, showed them a power point presentation regarding developmental works to be conducted in near future out of 32 crores sanction by UT Government for Transport Nagar.
He said over hauling of Transport Nagar is on cards and JDA has floated tenders to commence works in which roads, dividers, lighting, drains, beautification, paved tiles where ever required would be made. Anti-encroachment drives will be conducted simultaneously, he added.
The VC JDA assured Transport Nagar Association that all the problems would be addressed in a proper way and works of JDA and UEED would be done simultaneously so that money spent should not be wasted.
Magotra further assured the Association that in 15 days lot of online services would be introduced by JDA for smooth and timely working in JDA department, which will ease people at large. He assured to look into the matter of parking required by trucks in Transport Nagar.
Other TNA executive members present in meeting were Amarjeet Kukreja, Vijay Saraf, Davinder Kakkar, Ashwani Pandoh, Harpinder Anand, Rakesh Gupta, Shiv Bamba, Raju Puri, Raju Chawla, Naresh Gupta and Satish Gupta.
