TN crush Mumbai by innings 44 runs as their bowlers sparkle again

CHENNAI :  Tamil Nadu crushed muliple champions Mumbai by an innings and 33 runs, their second successive such triumph after the one against Uttar Pradesh, as the latter collapsed to 232 in their second innings, unable to counter the rival bowling attack on the third and penultimate day of the Group A Ranji Trophy  championship here today.
On another day of intense duel between bat and ball at the M A chidambaram stadium, Mumbai resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 12-1, after cnceding a huge first innings lead of 376, as only three of their batsmen, S S Iyer(57,108 bls, seven fours), S A Yadav (45, 144 bls, nine fours) and  S D Lad(47,91 bls, six fours) came good.   Tamil Nadu gained full seven points and increased their tally to 23 points from seven matlches. They will take on Baroda in their last league outing next Mumbai drew a blank suffering their second defeat in the league.
