JAMMU, Sept 9: The title song of film on Pt. Prem Nath Shastri a doyen of Kashmir culture and a great scholar of Shastras was released on his 100th birthday today by Athhrot group.
A function in this regard was held at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra here under the chairmanship of Dr Sushil Wattal a well known social activist and Kuldeep Raina, chairman Samajik Vikas Sansthan by maintaining all COVID SOPs. Dr Manoj Dhar, V C Jammu University also graced the occasion through online mode.
The song has been sung by Sharda Pandita and its music was given by Kuldeep Saproo while lyrics was given by Kanwal Peshin. The film has been directed by Pardeep Pandita and acted by Vinay Pandita, Daizy Bazaz and Sharda Pandita and camera by Ashish.
The film is a joint venture of Athrot and Pt Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan led by Pt Omkar Nath Shastri.
O N Shastri who could not participate in the programme however in his message said being the centenary birth anniversary this year the birth anniversary functions will be held throughout the year. The film has been written by Kanwal Peshin with expert opinion from Jyotshi Parivar. Today’s programme was coordinated by K P volunteers group. Both Dr Sushil Wattal and Kuldeep Raina complimented the Athhrot and Shodh Sansthan for making a film on Shastri Ji.
