JAMMU, Feb 20: It is high time to review and think in terms of scaling down the level of diplomatic missions, suspending Kartarpur Corridor, stopping the LoC exchanges and trade through LoC, abrogate Article 370 and lift Article 35A and also cancel sports and cultural exchanges with Pakistan or in other words teach them a lesson. There is unanimity among the people of the nation in this regard.
This statement was issued by Panun Kashmir after conducting an urgent meeting of its Political Affairs Committee, here today.
The meeting was presided over by Virender Raina, Chairman of the Committee and attended among others by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Upinder Kaul, General Secretary, Kamal Bagati, General Secretary (Org), Ashok Chrungoo, Treasurer, Prof KL Bhatia, Pramod Kumar, BL Garyali, SK Bhat and Sameer Bhat, Convener-Panun Kashmir Youth.
The meeting took stock of the current situation prevailing in the state in the aftermath of the Pampore terror attack.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo in his address referred to the intent expressed by the Prime Minister and the government to finish terrorism in the Jammu & Kashmir state.
He said, “The statement of the Lt. General KJS Dhillon, GOC 15 Corps that ‘anyone picking up the gun will be killed’ is appreciative and welcome,” adding it makes the intent regarding terrorism amply clear in tune with the will of the nation. Panun Kashmir while extending its complete support to the government and the valiant security forces in their fight against the Islamic terrorism, would make an appeal to the government to focus on the internal dimensions of the issue besides the other diplomatic and defence options before it.
PK also appealed the Kashmir centric leaders and politicians to advise the Kashmiri Muslim students and others anywhere in India not to take anti-India stance and not to post anti-national updates on the social media etc. And also let them join the mourners who are protesting against the Pulwama terrorist attacks.
“Those who pick up the guns will have to die and those who sympathize with them will have to suffer and suffer severely,” PK leaders said.
Virender Raina in his speech said that the concern and support expressed by the world powers and influential nations at this time in favour of India is commendable, adding that the US, UK, France and Japan have shown exemplary tilt in favour of India, even Muslim countries have condemned the heinous crime of Pulwama.
