SRINAGAR, Oct 11: After threadbare discussion on the bills regarding establishment of Private Universities and in light of observations made by the Chairman on Oct 10, 2012, Minister of Medical Education, R.S. Chib moved a motion for constitution of Committee. The Motion was adopted by voice vote and Chairman ordered for constitution of committee for the purpose.
Najeeb Suhurwardy, Naresh Kumar Gupta, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool and Jahangir Hussain Mir expressed their views on the subject.
Meanwhile, House adopted the motion moved by Ajat Shatru Singh, regarding extension of the time for presentation of report, by the House Committee (HC), constituted to look into the issue of acquisition of 796 kanals of land at Rakh Amb Tali in Samba.
The motion was adopted by voice vote and time for presentation of the report was extended up to the last day of the next session.
Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohi-ud-Din on behalf of Deputy Chief Minister moved a motion for extension of time for presentation of the report by the Joint Select Committee constituted for the Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2010 and the Jammu and Kashmir Property Tax Board Bill. The motion was adopted by voice vote upto the last day of the next session.
