NEW DELHI, Oct 8: The wholesale gur (Jaggery) market closed on a quiet note in the national capital today following scattered demand.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also ended on a steady note.
Marketmen said restricted buying activity by stockists and retailers mainly kept prices unchanged.
Following are today’s rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,700-3,800, pedi Rs 3,800-3,900, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,000-3,050, chakku Rs 3,700-3,750, khurpa Rs 3,400-3,450 and Ladoo Rs 3,700-3,750.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,450-3,525 and dhayya Rs 3,500-3,550. (PTI)
