Three thieves arrested, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Oct 6: Narwal Police arrested three thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, on September 17 this year a complaint was lodged at Police Post Narwal by a person namely Deepak Kapoor stating therein that his company Attar Logistics sold some batteries, solar panels and UPS to a customer namely Arshad Ahmed Butt in Srinagar but the articles were not delivered by the truck driver.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 242/2022 under section 407 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Lalit Kumar under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali, SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma put in strenuous efforts and finally arrested three thieves, who were identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Sadik of Sheikh Daud Colony Batmaloo Srinagar, Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani of Pital Bagh Pampore Pulwama and Irshad Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat of Batwara Srinagar.
On their disclosure, all the stolen items worth around Rs 22 lakh were recovered from Srinagar. Further investigation into the case is going on.
