JAMMU, Feb 2: A three-storey commercial building collapsed at Transport Nagar in Narwal on Wednesday late afternoon.
However, there is no report of any injury or fatality. Meanwhile, the concerned police have taken cognizance in this regard.
“The old building collapsed after it developed cracks due to some construction works in the area.”
They said, “There is no report of any casualties. The people in the building and around have a narrow escape as they were out timely before the collapse.”
Station House Officer (SHO) of Trikuta Nagar Police Station Inayat Ali said, “Police has registered an FIR against the contractor who has undertaken some construction works under Smart City project.”
“The people in the building have a close shave and there is no report of any casualty in this incident.”
Police officer said, “The building reportedly has developed cracks due to the ongoing construction works in the area.”
