Three killed, 2 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Nov 23: Three persons including two closed relatives were killed and two others injured today in three separate road accidents occurred in city outskirts.
Police sources said that a rashly driven oil tanker (registration number HR37E-5641) hit a scooty bearing registration number JK02CA-3810 and critically injured its rider and pillion at Greater Kailash. They said that both the injured persons namely Komal Chib wife of prince and her father-in-law, Parbhat Singh (63) son of Hari Singh, both residents of Channi Kartholi (Bari-Brahmana), were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where they were declared as brought dead by the doctors.
In this connection, Gangyal police had registered a case vide FIR Number 130/2020 under Sections 279, 304-A IPC and started investigation while the bodies of the deceased persons were sent for postmortem. The accused oil tanker driver namely Manjeet Singh son of Jarnail Singh of Punjab was also arrested by the police.
Meanwhile, a bike rider identified as Mushaid Hussain Shah (22) son of Khalid Hussain Shah of Batakas (Mendhar, Poonch) sustained grievously injuries when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by a speeding truck at Channi Rama near Haryana Marbles.
Sources said that the injured biker was shifted to GMCH Jammu but doctors there declared him as brought dead. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while a case was registered in this connection at police station Channi Himmat,” they added.
Police sources further informed that two persons were injured in Narwal area when a bike was hit by a rashly driven car. “The injured persons identified Ashish (23) son of Ramesh Kumar of Chatha and Muskan (23) daughter of Kasturi Lal of Vijaypur were shifted to GMCH Jammu for medical treatment while Narwal police had taken cognizance of the matter,” they added.
