Three killed, 11 injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, Oct 31: Three persons were killed while 11 others including a 10-year-old child were injured in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
Two youth identified as Ajay Choudhary (22) son of Bana Ram and Sukhvir Singh (20) son of Bhawani Singh (20), both residents of Purkhoo Camp received serious injuries last night when the bike on which they were travelling was hit by a mini-bus at Domana near Army gate.
Both the injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where they were declared as brought dead by the doctors. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection was registered a police station Domana and both the vehicles involved in the mishap seized while the efforts were on to nab the absconding mini-bus driver.
A pedestrian identified as Taro Devi (70) wife of Sewa Ram, resident of Tutar (Miran Sahib) was hit and critically injured by an unknown vehicle at Miran Sahib. She was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where at about 9 pm, she expired. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem. The Miran Sahib police has registered a case in this connection.
Another mishap occurred this morning at main stop Gandhi Nagar, where a Maruti car was hit by a Tata Mobile. In the mishap, Tarsem Lal (35) son of Rattan Lal, resident of Resham Ghar Colony, his wife, Bandu (30) and their son Vansh (10), who were travelling in the car, got serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, from where they were later referred to GMCH Jammu. Gandhi Nagar police has registered a case in this connection and seized both the vehicles.
Two pedestrians identified as Sham Thapa (19) son of Ramesh Lal and Ankit Khajuria (26) son of Ashok Kumar, both residents of Karwanda (Kot Bhalwal) suffered injuries when a rashly driven mini-bus hit them this morning near their residence. They were admitted to GMCH Jammu for treatment.
Two bike-borne youth were injured when their bike rammed into a divider at Miran Sahib. One of the injured was identified as Raju (25) son of Munna, resident of Ward No 5 (Simbal Camp) while the identity of other youth was not known. Both were hospitalized.
A pedestrian identified as Rashid (18) son of Yousuf, resident of Arnia was hit and injured by a car at Arnia. At Trikuta Nagar area also, a pedestrian identified as Durgpati (45) wife of Rambihari, resident of Trikuta Nagar, got injured after being hit by a rashly driven bike. Two pedestrian were also injured after they were hit by a bike near Dogra Chowk, Jammu. One of the injured was identified as Lakhan (26) son of Raju, resident of Gandhi Nagar while the identity of the other was not unknown. All the injured were shifted to GMCH Jammu.
