Three drug peddlers arrested with ganja

JAMMU, July 7: Three drug peddlers were arrested with ganja.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali and assisted by Incharge Police Post Bathindi PSI Mohd Younis Khanday and Incharge Police Post Narwal SI Achal Rana laid a naka at Rajiv Nagar and apprehended two drug peddlers along with 5 kilograms of ganja.
The arrested persons were identified as Tootu, son of Nek Ram and Meenu, wife of Ranchu, both residents of Rajeev Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 183/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Gangyal led by ASI Jamal Din under the supervision of SHO Gangyal Inspector Joginder Singh, SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma during patrolling arrested a drug peddler along with ganja.
The accused was identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Kaniya Parshad of Uttar Pradesh, at present Model Town Gangyal.
A case under FIR Number 76/2022 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation initiated.
