Three-day celebrations begin at Ram Darbar Temple

JAMMU, July 15: Three-day celebrations in connection with ‘Murti Sthapana Diwas’ by Shri Ram Darbar Temple, Nai Basti, Shastri Nagar began here today in the temple premises.
In this regard, a Hawan was performed today which will be followed by a large ‘Jagran’ on July 16 besides ‘Kanjak Poojan’ on July 17.
According to the committee members, the ‘Murti Sthapana Diwas’ is celebrated every year on July 13 but this year, it was deferred for two days due to shifting of auspicious time.
A large number of people from all walks of life attended the ‘Hawan’ and ‘Bhandara’. In the Jagran on July 16, several Punjabi singers from J&K and neighbouring States will take part.
Renowned singers like Surinder Mohan, Naveen Punjabi, Komal Sharma, Vijay Malhotra and Parveen Sharma are likely to perform in the Jagran.
The committee members appealed to the people of Jammu city to participate in the Jagran and seek blessings of Maa Durga.
