UDHAMPUR, Aug 23: Police booked three persons for selling banned nylon thread rolls.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Inspector Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of DySp Headquarters Udhampur Sahil Mahajan conducted raids in the shops of kite sellers in Udhampur town.
During raid, police party seized 55 rolls of banned nylon thread (gattu) from three shops and booked three shopkeepers, who were identified as Kishore, Sharan Gandotra and Ajay Mahajan.
Three cases FIRs under relevant sections of law were registered against these shopkeepers at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
