Three arrested with heroin, ganja

JAMMU, Feb 7: Jhajjar Kotli and Bahu Fort Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 182 grams heroin and 2 kilograms ganja from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh laid a naka and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 182 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sadam Hussain, son of Mohammad Younis of Lower Munda, at present District Samba and Ali Mohammad, a resident of Madhara District Samba.
A case under FIR Number 18/2022 under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari laid a naka near Railway Station and apprehended a drug peddler along with 2 kilograms of ganja.
The arrested person was identified as Vinod Pandey, son of Janardhan Pandey of Telwa District Jamui Bihar.
A case under FIR Number 38/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
