Delimitation Report gives clear hint of malafide interest: Soz

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: Former Union Minister and veteran Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz today alleged that Delimitation Commission Draft Report has given clear hint of malafide interests.
“My understanding is that the J&K Delimitation Commission itself seems to be playing a game that is detrimental to the interests of the people of J&K State. It has already created an understanding with the people of the state that it is playing a sectarian game,” Soz said.
“I have a feeling that the J&K State’s Non-BJP mainstream, along with the National Conference, should rise to the occasion and organise a sustained and strong democratic movement against the RSS/BJP’s organized effort to change the “Electoral profile of the State”.
He alleged that the RSS-BJP combine were bent upon misusing the institutions like the Delimitation Commission. The Non-BJP political class of the state would be well advised to organise a democratic and peaceful movement and agitate their ideas vigorously.
The Kashmir mainstream political class would particularly see reason to approach the biggest Court of appeal, that is, the “Peoples’ Court”, as early as possible,” Soz added.
