Srinagar, May 17: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested three accused in three different abduction and rape cases in the Valley, said the official sources.
A complaint was lodged in Bandipora police station by two families that their teenaged girls were missing since May 14 when they had left for their tuition centres. Police said a special team was formed to investigate the incident.
During the investigation some clues were established and both the girls were recovered and two accused were arrested from Pahalgam today.
The police said the girls told them that they were abducted and taken to a solitary place in Pahalgam where they were raped for two days.
The sources said police also arrested a man for allegedly raping minor girls in village Arin in Bandipora on the intervening night of May 8 and 10. The accused has been arrested on a complaint filed by the victims’ family members. (Agencies)
