SRINAGAR:
Thousands of youths from different parts of the Kashmir valley today joined an army recruitment rally at Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) on the city outskirts.
Army has recently announced to hold a recruitment rally at JAKLI Rengreth for youths of different districts of the valley.
Official sources said the rally witnessed overwhelming response as thousands of youths reached the venue since early this morning.
They said some of the youths from other district had stayed in the areas adjacent to venue to reach there early in the morning.
Today physical test of candidates will be done and those who will qualify will have to appear in written tests.
Because of heavy rush, it was very tough for the Army to control the youths who were eager to appear in the test. Several thousand youths from the Jammu and Kashmir have so far joined the Army and other paramilitary forces. Hundreds of surrendered militants have also been accommodated in the paramilitary forces, who are doing duty at different parts of the country. (AGENCIES)
