BENGALURU, Mar 9 : Karnataka minister and Congress leader on Saturday stoked a controversy by saying that those who raise pro-Pakistan slogans should be shot dead. He also justified Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government’s bulldozer action to punish criminals to maintain law and order. “What happened? The image of Congress is fine. Instead, it has improved. If anyone has raised slogans or supported Pakistan, then he should be shot dead. There is nothing wrong in it,” he told reporters here. Justifying UP chief minister’s bulldozer action, Rajanna said, “There in UP, houses are demolished, even though there is no law for it, but is law and order not under control? We will not oppose it.” He made these remarks when he was asked to respond to the image of Congress taking a hit after its supporters raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans at the state legislative assembly after Congress leader Syed Naseer Hussain’s victory in the Rajya Sabha election in the state. Soon after the FSL report confirmed the raising of Pakistan Zindabad slogans at the assembly by Congress supporters, the government arrested three persons in this regard, Rajanna said. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had handed over the videos to the forensic department to submit an FSL report after BJP raised the issue accusing Congress of betrayal. (UNI)
