JAMMU, Mar 7: The Centre for Chest Surgery Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, in association with Association of Northzone Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons, Jammu branch, organized an interactive session in Thoracic diseases and Surgical procedures at Jammu.
The Ganga Ram team included the Chief Prof Arvind Kumar, an eminent Thoracic Surgeon of country who is a BC Roy awardee along with Dr Harsh Vardhan, Consultant Thoracic Surgeon, Dr Sukhram and Dr Mohan, Associate Consultants.
A galaxy of senior consultants of field of Cardiothoracic Surgery Pulmonology, ENT Oncosurgery, General Surgery and Anesthesia along with residents and PIST graduates participated in this interactive session and a discussion was generated regarding the newer modalities of treatment in thoracic surgery like VATS, Empyema Tracheal surgery Aspergilloma.
Dr Arvind Kumar elucidated and answered lot of queries regarding various problems encountered while managing the patients and explained regarding recent advances in management of these diseases. Dr Harshvardhan presented various video recordings of these surgeries.
Dr Arvind Kohli, executive member of ANCTVS, appreciated the efforts of the team of thoracic surgery from SGRH in spreading awareness about prevention of lung diseases.
Prominent amongst the delegates, who actively participated in the discussion, included Prof Rajinder Singh, Dr Gurjit Singh, Dr Mohan Lal, Dr Noor Ali, Dr Sushil Sharma, Dr Sham Singh and post graduates.
