Things in JMC not in order, claims Councillor

JAMMU, June 16: A Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has alleged that things are not in order in the local body.
In a press conference here today JMC Councillor and Chairman of House Committee, Rajinder Sharma claimed that Safai Karamcharis are not seen in the Wards till 1:00 PM and they also not come in uniforms.
He also said that JMC should start sanitization using proper chemicals meant for the purpose.
Sharma also said why Autos are paid Rs. 28,000 per month when the released amount is Rs. 40,000 per auto.
The JMC Councillor asked why the AEE transferred on February 25 this year was not been relieved in time and why the new AEE not given the charge in time.
He further said why the expenditure on fuel came down to Rs. 43,00,000 from 83,00,000 per month after transfer of the AEE.
The Councillor further said why public services like Building Permission, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, NOCs to Shopkeepers, Hotels, Saloons, Nursing Homes etc are not are provided honestly.
He further informed that JMC has not progressed on solid waste management.
Councillors Surjeet Choudhary, Gurmeet Randhawa, Kapil Singh, Anil Kumar, Rekha Manhas and Jyoti Devi were also present in the press conference.
