SAMBA, Sept 6: Thieves struck at a readymade garments showroom in main market, for the second time in just 10 days and decamped with branded clothes and other valuable items, here today.
According to the reports, the incident occurred on the night of August 28-29, when the culprits broke a window to gain entry and stole numerous valuable items including clothes, a donation box, and the DVR of the CCTV cameras.
In the recent attempt, the thieves managed to break the back shutter of the showroom, as the owner had previously fortified the window by closing it and constructing a wall.
This brazen act of theft comes on the heels of a similar burglary that occurred less than two weeks ago.
The police visited the scene, assessed the damage and registered a case in this regard.
An investigation is now underway as authorities work to track down the culprits responsible for these repeated crimes.
