Thief nabbed, stolen machinery worth Rs 6.5 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Apr 18: Gangyal Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen machinery worth Rs 6.50 lakh on his disclosure.
Acting on a complaint lodged on 05-04-24 by Nikhil Kumar of Channi Himmat (Jammu) that some unknown thieves entered in Dashmesh Polymers Industeries Gangyal and stole some machinery parts from there, a case under FIR Number 34/24 U/S 457/380/IPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team of Police Station Gangyal arrested one suspect namely Sandeep Singh, resident of Nandwal Raipur (Satwari). During sustained questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the incident and on his disclosure, 12 Heater Plate, 3 Power Jack and 1 Motor were recovered. Total cost of the recovered items is about Rs 6.50 lakh.
The arrest and recovery was made by a team headed by Inspector Harmohinder Singh (SHO, PS Gangyal) under the close supervision of ASP SDPO City South Kartik Shrotriya and SP City South Ajay Sharma. Further investigation of the case was going on.
