Thief arrested with stolen purse, other valuable items

JAMMU, Sept 17: Talab Tillo Police arrested a thief with stolen purse and other valuable items.
As per police sources, on September 9 this year, a complaint was received from the office of Principal Government Boys Higher Secondary School Nowabad at Police Post Talab Tillo stating that on 4th September this year, a boy entered into the school premises pretending to seek admission in the school and stole purse of one of staff members namely Manmeet Bali which contains cash Rs 7000, ATM cards, driving licence, etc.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 140/2021 under Section 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Talab Tillo led by Inspector Kali Charan was constituted under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Rajesh Khajuria and DySP Headquarters Jammu Swati Sharma.
The team with the help of technical assistance and analysis of CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the accused, who was identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Gole Panjpeer Talab Tillo District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen purse, laptop, gas cylinder and one phone was recovered.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain his involvement in other cases.
