JAMMU, Sept 18: Sangaldan Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen property from his possession.
As per police sources, on September 15 this year, an application was submitted at Police Post Sangaldan by a person namely Maksood Ahmed stating therein that some unknown thieves have stolen tower mounts and bolts of mobile tower from Dalwah amounting to Rs 40000.
On the receipt of this application, FIR was lodged at Police Station Gool and investigation was set into motion.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up and finally the thief was arrested, who was identified as Shokat Ali, son of Jamal Din Bhat of Mahakund.
On his disclosure, stolen items were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Sangaldan PSI Aakash Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gool Inspector Nazir Ahmed, SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
