JAMMU, Aug 1: Sidhra Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Sidhra by a person namely Mohan Lal, son of Paras Ram of Pargalta regarding theft in temple at Pargalta.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 288/2022 under sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Sidhra led by SI Majid Hussain was constituted under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh and SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar.
The team did strenuous efforts and after connecting various leads along with timely human intervention, finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Raghubir Singh, son of Arun Singh of Pargalta Bajalta.
On his disclosure, the stolen ornaments worth Rs 25000 were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
