UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: Basantgarh Police arrested a thief along with stolen Rs 70,000 cash.
As per police sources, a theft case of Rs 70,000 from a vehicle was registered at Basantgarh Police Station under FIR Number 29/2020 under section 379 IPC.
Acting swiftly, a team headed by SDPO Ramnagar GR Bhardwaj and comprising of SHO Balram Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Shagun Shukla, which arrested the accused.
The arrested person has been identified as Rahul Sharma, son of Ashok Sharma of Jagti, Nagrota District Jammu. On his disclosure, stolen Rs 70,000 cash was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
