Thief arrested, stolen motorcycle worth Rs 2.20 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Feb 23: Bakshi Nagar Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen motorcycle worth Rs 2.20 lakh from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar by a person namely Prelhad Sharma, son of Satlal Sharma of Reshamghar stating that his Royal Enfield motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CS-8702 worth Rs 2.20 lakh was stolen from Resham Ghar area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 21/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area and timely human intervention finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Varun Roy Soodan, son of Vikas Soodan of Resham Ghar Colony District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen Royal Enfield motorcycle worth Rs 2.20 lakh was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
