JAMMU, July 16: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Rahul, son of Surinder of Valmiki Colony with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that he parked his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CL-5104 outside his house on July 11 this year, which was stolen by two persons Rajan and Tinku.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 203/2020 under Section 379 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma arrested the thief, who was identified as Tinku, son of Bishan Dass, a resident of Valmiki Colony.
On his disclosure, stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
