JAMMU, Aug 1: Police today arrested a thief and recovered stolen car from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from, Canal Road Police post conducted raid at Reka forest, Bye-Pass and arrested a thief.
The thief has been identified as Wasim Ahmed Sheikh, son of Abdul Satar Sheikh of Dobgah Sopur, teshil Rohama, district Baramulla, he added.
A stolen Ford Figo car bearing registration number JK12-4784 was also recovered from his possession, he informed.
Further investigation into the case registered under FIR number 112/13 under Section 379 RPC with Canal Road Police post is going on, he added.
Police party led by SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Shabir Khan.
