JAMMU, June 22: Nagrota Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen auto load carrier from his possession.
As per police sources, on June 19 this year a complaint was lodged at Police Station Nagrota by a person namely Mohammad Ashraf, son of Khursheed Ahmed of Sitni Bye Pass stating that his auto load carrier bearing registration number JK02CV-7093 was stolen from Sitni Bye Pass Nagrota.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 262/2022 under Section 379 1PC was registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by PSI Mohammad Zahid put in hectic efforts and finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohammad Ismael, son of Faqir Mohammad of Upper Rangoora District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the stolen vehicle was also recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest and recovery were made under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh and SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar.
