Theft case worked out

JAMMU, Aug 22: With the arrest of a thief and the recovery of the stolen items, Police in Bishnah town here today claimed that they have worked out a theft case.
According to a police spokesperson, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Bishnah on August 20, 2023 by one Dinesh Gupta son of Rajinder Gupta of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, stating therein that one of his employees decamped with some kites and kite thread bundles from his godown.
On receipt of the complaint, he said, a case FIR number 205/2023 under section 381 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Followed by this, the police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, raided different places and finally arrested the accused identified as Ravi Sharma of Phikhi Pind, Amritsar, Punjab.
On the disclosure of the accused, the stolen kites and kite thread bundles were recovered from the possession of the accused, he said.
