Theft case solved, stolen items worth Rs 50000 recovered

JAMMU, Mar 31: Police in this district claimed today that they have solved a theft case registered at Police Post Chinnore and recovered stolen items worth Rs 50000 besides arresting two people involved in the crime.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Post Chinnore regarding theft of one hammering machine, one welding machine, one drill machine, and three tile cutter machines from Chinnore area.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 115/2023 under relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
Followed by this, the police spokesperson added that special police teams of Police Post Chinnore led by SDPO Domana Sunil Singh assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Chinnore PSI Rajesh Singh with the help of human and technical intelligence arrested two suspects identified as Mohammad Haneef and Abdul Majeed of Bhalwal.
“During questioning, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen items worth around Rs 50000 were recovered,” he further said.
“While police have also seized two bikes from the accused persons further investigation is on,” added the police spokesperson.
