Theft case solved, stolen cattle feed bags recovered

JAMMU, Sep 7: Miran Sahib Police today solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen cattle feed bags from their possession.
“Acting on information received at Police Station Miran Sahib regarding theft of around 20-25 cattle feed bags from the shop of Neeraj Sharma son of Barita Ram, resident of Maralian, a case FIR Number 137/2023 under Section 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started,” a police spokesman said.
He said during the process of investigation, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Bopinder Singh rounded up two suspects with the help of CCTV footages of the area and on their disclosure, 20 stolen bags of cattle feed were recovered from a Mahindra Bolero vehicle bearing engine number GHDIL69065 and chasis number ZN2GHKDIL86857.
“The accused identified as Mohd Sher Khan son of Mojd Hanief and Sher Ali son of Mohd Sadiq, both residents of Ganeshu Chak (Phallain Mandal, Satwari) were arrested and the vehicle used in theft case was seized. It is pertinent to mention that the seized Bolero vehicle was stolen from Vijaypur and a case has been registered in this regard in Police Station Vijaypur,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
