Srinagar, Aug 22: Police today said it have arrested a person involved in theft case and recovered stolen property on his instance in Lal Bazar area here in summer capital.
A police spokesman said police station Lal Bazar received a complaint from one person namely Barkat Ali, resident of Hakabazar, wherein he said that some unknown persons barged into his house and took away some mobile phones, cycle and a generator.
“Subsequently a case under FIR number 33/17 under section 457, 380 RPC was registered and investigation set into motion. During the course of investigation, suspects were rounded up and during questioning one person namely Adil Ahmad Dar was found involved in this crime and stolen property was recovered on his instance,” the spokesman added.
