JAMMU, Nov 1: Miran Sahib Police today solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen articles on his disclosure.
“On 28-10-2023, a written complaint was received at Police Station Miran Sahib regarding theft of an air conditioner along with two stabilizers and accordingly, a case FIR Number 157/2023 U/S 457/380/IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started,” a Police spokesman said.
The spokesman said to crack the case, SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna formed a police team led SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Bopinder Singh and PSI Maroof, and the police team with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up a suspect namely Rohit Kumar alias Binny son of Satish Kumar resident of Darsopur (Miran Sahib).
“During questioning, the suspect confessed his involvement in the theft case and on his disclosure stolen items i.e. Air Conditioner, Stabilizer along with some copper wire were recovered from his possession,” he said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
