RAJOURI, Mar 10: Some thieves decamped with gold ornaments, cash and other goods from a house at Thannamandi last night.
Police sources said that some thieves barged into the house of retired teacher Ghulam Ahmed Malik last night. The family had gone to Jammu for the medical check up of one of the elderly members of the family to Jammu. As the family returned this afternoon, they found gold ornaments worth Rs 8 lakh and Rs 2 lakhs stolen besides some other electronics items from the house.
They reported the matter to police which registered a case and started investigation. The house is situated on main road and the lock of the main door was found intact. The thieves entered the premises after mounting on the compound wall. All the lockers and locks of doors were found broken.
