JAMMU, Mar 5: As an important aspect of the practical training, 3rd year students of The Law School, University of Jammu (JU) visited the Model Police Station (PS) Gandhi Nagar (Jammu) for an educational and first hand learning experience.
The purpose of the hands-on training was to provide the enthusiastic group of almost 80 students a better understanding of day-to-day working of Police Station as informed by Dr Rajneesh Khajuria.
The students witnessed the working of the Police Station, which includes the case diary, FIR diary and general diary, Malkhana of the Police Station. The students also asked questions from the police officials about the working of police in crime detection and the role of police in the criminal justice system. The same was resolved in detail by Station House Officer Inspector Sudhir Sadhotra and investigation officers of the Police Station.
This visit was organized under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Manju Jamwal (Director, The Law School) and coordinated by subject teachers — Assistant Prof Dr Rajneesh Khajuria, Assistant Prof Dr Nitan Sharma and Assistant Prof Dr Ramesh Kumar.
