UDHAMPUR, Dec 16: At a homage paying function here today, Thaley to Kothi road in block Ghordi was named as Shaheed Sepoy Shri Jagat Ram Marg as a tribute to the martyr.
This move has come after the decision of J&K government to name government schools, colleges, roads etc after martyrs who made supreme sacrifices to protect the nation.
Family members of Param Veer Chakra, Shaheed Sepoy Shri Jagat Ram; Chairperson BDC Ghordi, Sarpanches, Panches, SDM Ramnagar, ExEn PMGSY, SHO Ramnagar and others paid rich tributes to the martyr.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson BDC Ghordi said that martyrs are pride and inspiration for all future generations.
“Our upcoming generations should learn about supreme sacrifices of martyrs and nurture a feeling of patriotism,” the Chairperson said.
