Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir police apprehended two terrorists Banihal on Friday. Reports are to be believed, both are responsible for recent Banihal attack on SSB jawans. At least one jawan was martyred and another injured after terrorists attacked a camp of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Wednesday.
The two apprehended terrorists have been identified as Arif and Ghazanfar and weapons have been recovered from them. Two service rifles, including an AK assault rifle and an INSAS rifle, which were snatched during the attack, have been from their possession.
The attack was carried out at around 8 PM on Wednesday and was targeted against the 14th battalion of SSB, posted in Banihal town of Ramban. The SSB party was charged to guard the strategic Banihal tunnel, the 8.45-km stretch which connects Ramban to Qazigund. (Agencies)
