Terrorist activities, border firings increased during Modi Govt: JKPCC

JAMMU, Feb 7: J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has flayed the PM Modi led NDA Government and said that number of security personnel killed in J&K in terrorist incidents and cross border firings has increased.
In a press conference here today JKPCC Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that number of terrorist incidents and ceasefire violations has increased after the year 2014 and with these the number of terrorists at launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir has also gone up.

The Congress leader questioned the detention of former Chief Ministers and imposition of Public Safety Act (PSA) on them at a time when the Government claims normal situation in J&K.
He said, after August 5 last year internet services in J&K have been snapped leaving the youth to suffer.
“The Government has registered many educated youth in its employment exchanges but no job has been provided to any of such youth,” he told reporters.
Blaming the Government for having no regularisation policy he said that the Government is not regularising the daily wagers and other such workers working in different Government departments.
The Congress leader demanded restoration of internet services in J&K and said that the Government should make policies for the benefit of youth.
Sharma also said that if the Government continued all this in same way then Congress along with its different wings will start agitation.
Ch Akram, ex-MLA and Chairman ST Cell of JKPCC; Suresh Dogra, Chairman OBC Cell; Manmohan Singh, General Secretary JKPCC; JKPCC Secretary Neeraj Gupta; Uday Chib, Congress Youth President and others were also present on the occasion.
