JAMMU, Apr 22: The Sunjuwan terror attack wherein an officer of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) attained martyrdom and nine others got injured today, was widely condemned by various political parties, social organisations as well as prominent persons of the Union Territory.
BJP senior leaders including J&K president Ravinder Raina, former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta and Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta condemned the attack ahead of PM Narendra Modi’s rally and asserted that these attacks cannot deter the people from being part of the gathering at Samba’s Palli village. Raina said that bankrupt Pakistan wanted to destabilize India but brave soldiers of the country will never allow that rogue nation to realize its nefarious designs.
The attack was also condemned by senior Congress leaders as well as JKPCC working president, Raman Bhalla and Ashok Bhagat who termed it as a cowardly attempt of Pakistan to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu division. They also criticized the NDA Government’s foreign policy and said that the Modi Government’s foreign policy is totally a failure.
Apni Party president Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari strongly condemned the militant attack in Sunjwan and termed it as an attempt to disturb peace in J&K. “The enemies of peace and stability are behind these heinous acts,” he said, expressing sympathy with the CISF officer who martyred in the encounter and five other security personnel injured in the encounter. The attack was also condemned by Apni Party leader Manjit Singh who appreciated the security forces for timely neutralizing the two militants.
AAP leader Sandeep Singh Chib also strongly condemned the terror attack and expressed deep shock over the martyrdom of CISF ASI and injuries to nine others. He described the attack as highly condemnable and an act of great provocation by the militants and their mentors across the border.
The dastardly act of terrorists in pre-dawn on CISF bus was also condemned by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) in an urgent meeting, held at Chamber House in which Arun Gupta, president CCI along with the office bearers including Anil Gupta, Rajiv Gupta, Gaurav Gupta and others were present. The office bearers visited the Government Medical College Jammu to know about the well-being of the security forces injured in the terror attack.
An emergent meeting was held today under the chairmanship of MK Bhardwaj, president J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu to condemn the terrorist attack at Sunjwan wherein all the office bearers, senior and young layers abstained from working in the High Court and Subordinate Courts to protest the terrorist attack, sponsored by Pakistan, whereby one Indian soldier was martyred. The Bar Association, Jammu paid tributes to the martyr who sacrificed his life for the nation and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured soldiers.
Condemning the attack on security forces at city outskirts, Team Jammu today warned the jihadi terrorists operating in J&K to pack off herewith or else new resurgent India will leave no stone unturned to eliminate them wherever they would be found taking refuge.
Chairman, Zorawar Singh Jamwal while addressing the meeting of volunteers said, “Terrorists are feeling suffocative in Kashmir valley following operation all out launched by security forces and now they want to show their presence in peaceful Jammu by triggering such attacks. These are cowardice acts by anti-nationals but the nationalist forces of Jammu would counter them with iron fists.”
Muslim Federation Jammu condemned the terror attack on security forces in a meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Federation president, Abdul Majid and appealed the public that a great vision is required to be maintained in Jammu so that no untoward incident takes place in Jammu in future.
Condemning the attack on security forces, Shiv Sena J&K unit today staged a protest against Pakistan and burnt the effigy of the Pakistan. They also raised slogans in favour of security forces by holding Tricolour. The protest was organised under the presidentship Manish Sahni who said that the anti-national elements are trying to create a wedge between the century old communal harmony and brotherhood.
Batwal Youth Development Committee Jammu held its meeting at Channi Nanak under the chairmanship of Tilak Raj Bassa and condemned the terrorist attack on security forces.
The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena took out a rally against Pakistan to condemn the attack on CISF personnel in Sunjwan area. The party workers burned the posters of Shahbaz Sharif and hailed the efforts of Vivek Gupta, Mukesh Singh and Chandan Kohli for eliminating the terrorists.
Peepal Saves People Foundation Trust condemned the dastardly act of fidayeen and demanded a stern action against the neighbouring country for its nefarious design to disturb peace of Jammu.
Mission Statehood J&K, led by Sunil Dimple staged a protest against the fidayeen attack on security forces’ bus and demanded an NIA probe in the incident.
